Tyler Perry’s Sistas | Midseason Finale Ratings Were ‘Alright’ For Season 8’s Low Standards

The ratings for Sisters Season 8 are officially in, and let’s just say it’s been a bit of a roller coaster! The midseason finale aired last week, but unfortunately, the season as a whole has not been performing at its best. The season average is sitting at a lukewarm 74, which is far from impressive. Episode 9, which led into the 2-hour event, held steady at a 74, but Episode 10 saw a slight dip to 71. However, the midseason finale bounced back a bit, landing at a 79. Surprisingly, this was one of the few episodes with a higher rating, as most of the season’s episodes have struggled to reach that mark.

Looking ahead, the ratings for the back half of the season might get a boost with Episode 12. The teaser for the next episode suggests Karen might be going into labor, which could spark some curiosity and raise viewership. However, based on the trailer, we know that Karen’s situation might not unfold the way fans expect—she’s seen back in her apartment, still pregnant, wearing the same outfit she wore in the hospital.

While it’s difficult to predict what will happen next, I have a feeling that after Episode 12, ratings could drop again, especially with Episode 13 and beyond. Let’s hope Season 9 takes the show in a stronger direction, as it feels like each week is a new chapter of uncertainty. The Season 8 premiere, which had a solid 88, was largely driven by the question of whether Gary was dead or not. Looking forward, I’m cautiously optimistic about Episode 12 and would guess it could pull in around a 79 rating.
